Trestle and Chair

​

Horgenglarus is Switzerland's oldest manufacturer of chairs and tables. One chair of their collection is called Forum and was designed in 1960. It finds place in a lot of offices, schools, and staff canteens. In Switzerland everybody knows this chair.

But as soon as people start to take something for granted they tend to lose sight of its value.

 

Combined with trestles I created several installations to bring this chair back into the spotlight.

 

This work was created at the School of Visual Arts in Aargau in 2015.
